EURACTIV has competed in open competition for EU tenders and calls for proposal since 2001 and has won over 15 major projects from a cross-section of EU institutions as well as supporting a range of smaller projects. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Public Projects team. The Public Projects Manager will report to the Public Projects Director and be responsible for coordinating project bids, managing project finance (budgets, financial analysis, invoicing, reporting), as well as supervising implementation of CrossLingual projects (big pan-European projects involving the EURACTIV network, partners and EU institutions’ representatives) by the team.

Job Description

  • Manage and coordinate project bidding process, from planning to submission
  • Lead on project budgeting, financial monitoring, profitability analysis and financial reporting
  • Liaise with EU institutional contacts for project set up, monitoring and reporting
  • Oversee team and network implementation of public projects: weekly team review + monthly activities update
  • Organise and participate in public projects meetings (i.e. Kick-off meetings, review meetings, etc.)
  • Liaise with colleagues in the editorial, network, finance, multimedia, technical and communication teams who are involved in the implementation of the project: prepare project and budget briefings, undertake regular quality control, share relevant information, etc.
  • Contribute to various Public Projects strategic presentations, meetings agendas etc., especially with financial analysis


  • Hard-working, entrepreneurial, team-player, Brussels region resident
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in A-Z of EU project management  
  • Good software skills, including Excel spreadsheets (and/or other similar tools)  
  • Knowledge of EU & Brussels (e.g. experience gained in EU institutions, PA consultancy, NGO, association, city, regional or national authority) 
  • Excellent English, good French, third EU language an advantage
  • Verifiable references
  • Available to start as of 4 June 2018
