COCIR would like to fill in the existing full-time position of:

Public Affairs Manager

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate COCIR activities for 3 committees (Value in Health Focus Group; Market Access Focus Group; Public Affairs Focus Group)
  • Work with the Focus Group/Task Force Chairs, organise COCIR internal meetings and teleconferences, set-up agendas, prepare background documents, write meeting/TCON minutes, post documents and update calendar on the COCIR members-only website on a regular basis
  • Actively monitor new information such as EU consultations, new draft legislations and initiatives, and share with members on regular basis and coordinate COCIR contributions to the relevant ones when decided by the groups
  • Facilitate events, appointments and attend meetings with EU institutions and key stakeholders (incl. participation to conferences)
  • Work closely with COCIR Secretary General to assist her in preparation of all relevant strategic documents including position papers, internal newsletters, press releases, etc.

Competencies (skills, knowledge, behaviours)

Education: Master’s degree in political science, European affairs, law or related field;

Experience: 3-5 years in EU Affairs (experience in medical technology a plus).

Languages: English (native speaker would be a plus). French, German, Dutch are optional.

IT-knowledge: Good skills needed (PowerPoint, Excel, etc...)

Specific skills: Experienced in lobbying and public affairs, knowledge in working with associations and EU institutions. Additional skills on cohesion funds, Horizon 2020, MultiAnnual Framework and HTA would be a plus.

Soft skills: multitasking, team worker, professional communication (writing and verbal), creative/out-of-box thinking, rigorous and organised


Location: COCIR’s Brussels Office

Travel: occasional

Remuneration: to be negotiated
