What internship are we offering?

CEPI is offering a 9 months paid internship for a young PA and communication professional from April to December 2019. Working under the supervision of CEPI’s PA and Communication Director, he/she would be responsible for:

  • Monitoring of EU media and EU policy developments in the relevant areas using existing CEPI policy monitoring tools/platforms and drafting regular synthesis
  • Mapping Public Affairs stakeholders and newly elected / appointed EU policy-makers to support outreach efforts in coordination with the Public Affairs & Communications Director
  • Carrying out specific communication tasks such as content production, website content management, PPT presentations,…
  • Supporting the team in the preparation of CEPI’s annual conference Paper & Beyond (November 2019)
  • Assisting the Public Affairs & Communications Director on various tasks concerning the implementation of CEPI’s overall Public Affairs and Communications strategy.

CEPI interns are a full part of the team and are supervised by one senior manager. They are employed under a temporary Belgium work contract benefiting social security and corporate medical coverage, pension plan and meal vouchers.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a quick leaner, able to grasp connections between various policy areas and to think about the “so what?” when it reports on policies developments. He/she strives to achieve high quality work, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and has excellent interpersonal skills.


  • Degree in Political Sciences, EU Law or Business Management
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills
  • Experience with event organisation (planning, suppliers, speaker management,…)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PPT, Excel..)
  • Team-player able to adapt to a multicultural team


  • Previous experience in EU Public Affairs, Communications and  Event Management
  • Knowledge of EU climate change, environment, energy and trade issues
  • Mastering of social media platforms (Twitter & LinkedIn)
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • An understanding of graphic design softwares such as Adobe Photoshop/GIMP
  • Knowledge of another European language
