Job Description
WSBI-ESBG has a strong track record since the early 1990s in delivering bank consultancy and training projects worldwide. In this context, WSBI is currently delivering an ambitious programme benefiting selected savings banks in developing countries globally.
We seek a high calibre project manager for a fixed term contract (of 2 years) who will join a close-knit team to support implementation of this programme. The tasks will entail:
- Responsibility for the management and control of individual project activities at the beneficiary banks in order to achieve agreed objectives;
- Management of expert teams delivering the various project components;
- Coordination and support to activities at beneficiary banks relating to the tendering and procurement of necessary capital equipment (mainly IT related).
The project manager will be Brussels based, although a limited need for short international travel to selected developing countries may arise.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in managing projects in large organisations (preferably financial sector) or, possibly, having worked for a consultancy firm delivering such projects;
- experience of projects that involve public tendering for capital equipment would be an advantage, as might also experience of projects funded by the multilateral donor community.
- Education to university level or equivalent;
- excellent English and French languages are required.
- Strong organisational and implementation skills; good computer capabilities; very good inter-personal skills with experience working in a multicultural environment; proactive, with a sense of creativity.
