The Polish Institute Brussels is seeking an experienced project manager starting in January 2020.

Who we are: The Polish Institute - Cultural Service of the Polish Embassy in Belgium is supervised in its work by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

Our key goal is to familiarise people in Belgium with the history, language and culture of Poland, as well as use Belgium as a platform on which to unveil the latest Polish intellectual and artistic news and events. We work towards making sure that Polish culture forms part of the Belgian landscape, and, in order to make this happen, we collaborate with Belgian institutions, NGOs as well as with various festivals.

Job description:

  • Project management– planning, co-ordinating, managing projects organised by the Institute, supporting relationships with partners
  • Communication - participating in the orientation and implementation of the communication strategy of the Polish Institute: website management, animation of social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), drafting press releases

What we expect from you:

  • A master’s degree preferably in Arts, History, Literature, Cultural Studies, Linguistics or comparable
  • Preferably 1 year experience as project manager in NGOs or cultural institutions in the domain of: film, literature, history, arts or public diplomacy in Belgium or/and in Poland
  • Familiarity with Polish contemporary culture
  • Languages: C1 in English, C1 in French or Dutch and B2 in Polish
  • Strong & well developed interpersonal skills
  • A good team player but also able to work independently
