Job Description
ERTICO – ITS Europe is a multi-sector, public/private partnership pursuing the development and deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS). ITS - Intelligent Transport Systems and Services - is the integration of information and communications technology with transport infrastructure, vehicles and users in order to improve the transport system as a whole including issues related to road safety, traffic efficiency, environmental issues and system and infrastructure security.
We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time (m/f) PROJECT MANAGER to enhance our Deployment and Development Department and to join our international and dynamic team. You will act as a key actor with strategic vision towards a better transport system.
Your challenges:
You will be responsible for the management of projects developed with ERTICO Partners and co-funded by the European Commission with the objective to lead the research and implementation of innovative ITS in Europe.
In addition, the Project Manager will take part in preparation of new activity development including European project proposals in accordance with ERTICO’s priorities, ERTICO partners needs and identified funding opportunities.
Our main challenges address road safety and traffic efficiency including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), navigation, digital maps and cooperative systems (Vehicle-tovehicle or vehicle-to-infrastructure).
The successful candidate will:
- be graduated or have a higher degree - in telecom, IT, electronic or automotive engineering or other related field,
- have at least four years relevant employment experience,
- have previous project management experience – EC-funded R&D project experience would be a distinct advantage,
- have excellent oral and written communication skills in English, other languages being an asset,
- have an appreciation of technology and market trends as well as commercial interests,
- be creative, self-motivated, results-oriented, with the determination to succeed,
- be open and have a positive personality,
- be able to work both as a team player and as a leader in an international environment, with the flexibility and adaptability to handle new challenges.
The position will be based at the ERTICO office in Brussels, but it involves a significant amount of travelling, mainly in Europe.
