EIT Health - a new Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) under the umbrella of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) - is focused on promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and education in the domain of healthy living and active ageing. EIT Health brings together leading organisations along the entire value chain from
smaller companies to larger industry, excellent academic and research institutions, as well as public sector organisations, to promote healthy living, support active ageing and improve healthcare by removing barriers to innovation, promoting talent and education, leveraging enabling technologies and exploiting big data. EIT Health
headquarters are located in Munich and will develop its activities across a network of co-location centres in six cities: Paris, London, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Stockholm, and Mannheim. In addition, the InnoStars office in Budapest involves Partners from Hungary, Wales, Poland, Portugal, Croatia, and Italy. EIT Health includes more than130 partners.
EIT Health executes a portfolio of 100+ projects per year and is therefore now seeking to appoint a Project Manager for its Project Management Office (PMO) reporting to the COO of the organisation.
 
Your responsibilities
  • Proactively engage with teams that are leading EIT Health projects and ensure timely reporting on progress,
  • financial, and performance matters e.g. maintaining EIT Health KPIs, budget amendments
  • Implement processes, including use of IT tools, that help project teams and the EIT Health organisation have full
  • overview of project progress and performance
  • Data analysis to support portfolio management and communication, both internally and to stakeholders
  • Ensure seamless procedures between the PMO and other functions e.g. Finance, Communications
  • Support compiling the annual report of EIT Health
 
Your functional skills and experience
  • A talented project manager with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • An ambitious and driven professional that is able to best combine analytical thinking with creativity
  • A proactive, independent and results-oriented person with great organizational and prioritization skills
  • Process-driven and passion for operational excellence
  • Organized and willingness to better the organisation with novel ideas and solutions within the different functions
  • An outstanding communicator verbally and in writing, with strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Excellent
  • command of the English language is mandatory. Additional European languages a plus.
  • A team player who understands the importance of team work in an international environment, and focuses on contributing to the overall success of EIT Health
  • A focused professional capable to succeed in a fast-paced, complex and constantly changing environment
  • True passion for the domains of EIT Health (healthy living and active ageing)
  • Good command especially of Microsoft Excel to efficiently analyse large amounts of data
  • A track record of managing projects that are co-funded with European public funds is a plus
  • Knowledge of financial rules of Horizon 2020 / the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is a plus
