Project Assistant (M/V) - EC Framework Contracts

Job Description
He/she will be responsible for the acquisition and the implementation of projects, in the field of EC development cooperation, as well as for management and coordination during project im-plementation.
The Tasks include:
- Acquisition of EC framework contract missions (mainly Lot 6: Environment;
- Search for and selection of experts and teams according to Terms of Reference given (including contract negotiations) ;
- Preparation and submission of technical and financial offers;
- Day-to-day management of EC framework contracts;
- Daily communicating with members, partners and experts;
- Project management, including mobilization, planning and logistics as well as financial and report monitoring;
- Project budgeting and administration;
- Quality assurance of reporting.
The ideal profile has to be:
- Available immediately
- Living in Brussels
- University (Bachelor or Masters) degree plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience;
- Previous work experience with EC Service Framework Contracts essential;
- Proven experience within the European Commission environment (Environment- Development sector);
- High capacity for independent decision-making and taking initiative;
- Able to coordinate complex processes and to work under tight deadlines
- Highly result and quality-oriented;
- Very good organizational and communication skills;
- Fluent in English, spoken as well as written is a requirement ; Danish, French, Spanish, Portuguese or other languages is an asset;
- Profound computer skills in MS Office tools, databases, Internet.
