Programme Support Manager (Maternity cover)

Job Description
12 months maternity cover with the possibility of a permanent contract at the end of the period, with a young, dynamic organisation working in health systems in developing countries.
The Programme Support Manager is a key member of the HPI team. They are responsible for management and co-ordination of the programme support function within HPI, and provide a quality assurance function across the programme support function.
They also have specific responsibility for UK-based programme/contract management of three projects (two DfID funded, one EU funded), and provide a key liaison function with a fourth.
This post requires a minimum of 4 years experience of working in contract management, ideally with DfID. Experience of working with diverse stakeholders from a range of cultural backgrounds, setting up contract management processes and systems, and familiarity with budgeting and budgeting processes is also essential, as is competency in Excel.
Experience of working with the EU, USAID and the World Bank would be an advantage, as would a postgraduate qualification in an international development or programme management related subject.
Salary range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on education and experience
