TIC Council, is the association representing the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector worldwide. With offices in Brussels, Washington DC and soon New Delhi and a membership that covers more than 160 countries, the association has a truly global footprint.

For our office in Brussels we are now recruiting a Policy and International Affairs Manager.

About the role

The Policy Affairs Manager will report directly to the Director General and will have the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

  • Regulatory/Government Affairs: coordinate efforts amongst the membership to draft position papers, white papers and other relevant documents outlining the positions of the association; support the development and implementation of the advocacy strategy and tactics;
  • Provide operational support to the Director General: preparing Board agendas, pre-readings and drafting the meeting minutes;
  • Providing secretariat support to several sectorial committees;
  • Supporting the membership process.


  • Work experience in the EU environment (5 years minimum), previous experience in working with EU institutions would be an asset;
  • Relevant university degree (Law degree, International Relations, European Studies or similar);
  • Knowledge of EU institutions and processes;
  • Very good analytical skills and proven ability to synthesise feedback;
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills;
  • Autonomous, result-oriented worker and enthusiastic team player;
  • Fluent in English and either German or French, any other European language is an asset.
