is recruiting

   1 Policy Advisor  

His/her main functions will be to:

  • Monitor the European policy initiatives, market developments and identify emerging trends, particularly on organic farming, aquaculture, tobacco, rice and honey;
  • Provide regular and thorough analysis of complex developments, their impacts for Copa-Cogeca members and develop Copa-Cogeca positions;
  • Organise and coordinate the respective Copa-Cogeca Working Parties;
  • Develop, in collaboration with members and/or other stakeholders, lobbying strategies and activities to influence the EU institutions and external partners;
  • Build and maintain strong network. Coordinate with the communication team on a communication strategy;
  • Report to the Director on Commodities and Trade. Work in an dynamic international team.


  • University degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) in agronomy, political science, or economics (or equivalent);
  • 2/3 years professional experience in EU public affairs, and/or agrifood sector;
  • Understanding of CAP, CFP, organic regulation and market knowledge, is an advantage;
  • Language skills: Fluency in English and French are required. Other European Union language(s) are an advantage;
  • Very good sense of team spirit, coordination skills and willing to do the extra mile.
  • Strong analytic, organisation skills and interpersonal skills. Efficient communicator: he/she will always consider to turn policy arguments into convincing communication measures;
  • Computer literacy: MS Office applications, modern communication tools;
