The Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) is recruiting for a Policy Adviser on Digitalisation (1-year contract).

About FEPS:

FEPS is the progressive think tank at European level, with almost 50 member political Foundations and think tanks across Europe. It embodies a new way of thinking on the social democratic, socialist and labour scene in Europe. It seeks to serve as a platform for ideas and aims to tackle the challenges that Europe faces today by putting fresh thinking at the core of its action.

About the position

The selected candidate is expected to support the smooth running of FEPS projects with a particular focus on the digital transformation of the EU economic and social policy. In collaboration with the policy advisors, the selected candidate is to liaise with member foundations and project partners, to provide background policy and data research on EU economic and social affairs, and to assist in the organisation of meetings and conferences.

About the ideal candidate

  • M.A. degree in economic, social sciences or European studies
  • Knowledge and experience on EU economic and social policy with a focus on digitalisation
  • Quantitative skills for data analysis
  • Skills ranging from administrative to research and event management
  • Team player with initiative and dedication for the progressive cause
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English, other languages are always an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in MS office.

Employment conditions

  • 12 months temporary contract
  • The work contract will ideally start as soon as possible
  • The salary will be discussed depending on experience and qualifications
  • The contract will be under Belgian law
