The Communication Networks Division of the CTTC is offering one FPI (Formación Personal Investigador) Fellowship funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and Universities, to carry out fundamental and applied research on the project 5G-REFINE (Resource Efficient 5G Networks - TEC2017-88373-R).

Eligible candidates

The eligible candidates are students, with a good academic record and strong motivation for research, who already defended or will defend their Master thesis in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields, no later than Spring 2019. The evaluation process should take at most 8 months from the beginning of the submission period, so that the successful candidates are expected to join CTTC before the summer break of 2019.

Fellowship conditions

The Fellowship contract has a duration of 48 months. The fellowship will be implemented through a work contracts with a salary of 16.422 € /year (gross). Additional funding is allocated for health system coverage, academic registration fees to the PhD program, research secondment abroad and publication costs. How to apply

Online submission of application forms will be open from October 9 to October 29 (3 pm CET), 2018.

Submission should be made electronically through the web page of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and University https://sede.micinn.gob.es/. The candidate has to register to the Unified registry of applicants (https://sede.micinn.gob.es/rus/). During the application, the candidate will be required to upload documentation about curriculum vitae, complete transcript of academic records, valid passport, etc. Once filled in the application, the candidate has to validate it. To officially present the application, the candidate is required to proceed in one of the following ways:

-Electronically sign the application. To do that, the candidate needs an electronic signature valid in Spain http://www.ciencia.gob.es/portal/site/MICINN/menuitem.26172fcf4eb029fa6ec7da6901432ea0/?vgnextoid=f0c992106a8a3210VgnVCM1000001034e20aRCRD&vgnextchannel=f0c992106a8a3210VgnVCM1000001034e20aRCRD

D). To get a valid signature, the candidate need to have already a valid NIE as a resident in Spain.

-If the candidate does not opt to electronically sign, he/she needs to print the documents generated by the application and bring them to a valid registry point (art. 16.4 of law 39/2015), or to a Spanish postal office. In this case the documents need to be dated and stamped. Alternatively, if the candidate is abroad, the documents can be presented in a Spanish consulate or embassy.
