EURACTIV is the leading, independent European media network on EU policies and unique as a multilingual medium providing communication platforms.

The EURACTIV network is a highly effective media multiplier, a natural channel to cover and communicate EU policies and public projects to media, stakeholders and other multipliers at the EU and national level.

EURACTIV competes in open competition for EU tenders and calls for proposal and since 2001 has won around 15 major projects from a cross-section of EU Institutions, including the European Commission, European Parliament, European Economic & Social committee and European Committee of the Regions. We are now seeking a paid stagiaire to support our Network Projects team in the daily/weekly/monthly implementation of CrossLingual projects (big projects involving the EURACTIV network and media partners).

Job Description

  • Working with project monitoring tools – e.g. Google Analytics – to ensure timely data collection and a monthly overview of project activities and deliverables throughout the entire duration of the project
  • Collating project implementation statistics and drafting project implementation reports (coordinating the input from the network; format and layout of the report; preparing the submission of the report)
  • Monitoring third-party press impact generated by EURACTIV projects
  • Supporting research into EU policy areas for project proposals
  • Collecting information from and coordinating with the EURACTIV network and project partners
  • Keeping project contact details up to date

Profile

  • Hard-working, organised, team-player, Brussels region resident
  • Knowledge of EU & Brussels (e.g. European Studies, experience gained in EU institutions, PA consultancy, NGO, city, regional or national authority) 
  • Good MS Office –esp. Excel, Google docs & Analytics software skills
  • Excellent written English, spoken French or other EU language an advantage.
  • 2 verifiable references

Timing

  • Start date 1 November, for 6 months with the potential to extend for a further 6 months.
