Job Description
For EuroparlTV (web television of the European Parliament), Mostra Communication in Brussels is recruiting a full-time, in-house French-to-English Translator/Subtitler to join the Pivot Language Team within the Linguistic Department.
Your main task will consist in the creation and peer checking of English subtitling templates. As a member of the Pivot Team you will also be expected to write original content for the website, carry out some managerial tasks and provide linguistic, technical and editorial support to the in-house team of linguists.
We are seeking a candidate with a relevant educational background and the following skills:
- A keen interest in the European Parliament, the European Union, its institutions and policies.
- Flawless mastery of his/her mother tongue (British English), a standard native accent and a pleasant recording voice.
- Proficiency in French.
Knowledge of an additional EU language (particularly Italian, German and Spanish) and some managerial experience are definite assets.
We offer a full-time indefinite contract and the opportunity to participate in a very challenging project.
