The global Public Affairs and Communications Consultancy, Grayling, is seeking to bolster its current EU Public Affairs team by hiring an experienced Manager to grow its Energy & Environment practice.

The role would involve independently overseeing a number of client accounts and their budgets, managing a close-knit team, ensuring client satisfaction, obtaining the desired results for the client’s business, and growing and developing the business area.

He/she should therefore be an experienced practitioner, be able to provide detailed EU PA strategic advice to the client, and manage an account team, as well as coordinate various marketing initiatives identify new business opportunities and take the lead in new business processes. He/she will be part of the PA Management Team.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum three to six years’ experience in public affairs.
  • Specific expertise in energy and environment and knowledge of the F-Gas Regulation;
  • Excellent overall communication skills including writing, oral, and presentation skills;
  • A thorough understanding of European policies and the workings of the EU institutions;
  • A proven track record in lobbying and/or advocacy vis à vis the EU institutions, either in a consultancy, “in-house” or in a trade association;
  • Native or near-native English; fluency in other EU languages also desirable;
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and team-building skills.
