- EurActiv is seeking an experienced journalist to join its Brussels Network Office.
Job Description:
Journalists need to have a proven record of publishing in English.
We seek people with experience in understanding and analysing European Union policies.
People with strong editorial credentials and experience in media at national or EU level are invited to apply.
Main tasks include:
Researching, reporting and writing articles; conducting interviews on a variety of EU public policies for an informed audience; Monitoring of developments in these and related policies across the EU; Developing & managing contacts with business, public officials and NGOs.
Profile:
Excellent track record of writing skills; Hard-working, able to respect tight deadlines, entrepreneurial, team-player; Frequent user of all internet services, interest in internet-culture, knowledge of or willingness to learn web-writing and information management; Excellent English, good French, knowledge of third EU language a plus; Excellent phone manner, good knowledge of MS Office and other software.
The successful candidate is unlikely to have less than 3 years experience reporting on EU affairs.
