IRIS is looking for a Java Developer for a long term mission at EU institutions in Brussels.

Job Description

  • Contribute to the design of IT Systems
  • Ensure the coherence & integration of locally developed solutions with the Commission-wide ICT architecture.
  • Promote the development of component architecture and reuse of corporate building blocks.
  • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
  • Contribute to project specifications with users and definition of deliverables.
  • Contribute to the elaboration and monitoring of project plans.
  • Data analysis and data modelling.
  • Production of software architecture documents.
  • Participate to the improvement of informatics tools products, projects, services and standardized IT solutions through a technical watch.


  • In-depth knowledge of Java technologies
  • Experience with Spring, Spring MVC
  • Oracle
  • SQL
  • Eclipse (or equivalent)
  • HTML5, JavaScript
  • UML
  • SOAP/Rest /Web Service
