Job Description
FESI is recruiting an Issue Manager, who would be eager to work for an attractive and dynamic sector in an international and friendly team.
Responsibilities:
To organise, co-ordinate and control the activities related to a range of issues delegated to Working Committees comprising Members' representatives.
Responsibilities include:
· Identifying and monitoring EU on-going and emerging issues affecting the sporting goods industry
· Disseminating effectively relevant EU related information to Members on these issues
· Drafting position papers on agreed industry positions with the support of the working committee Chairs and assisting in the sector coordination through the organisation of meetings and the drafting of corresponding minutes
· Supporting the working committee Chairs to ensure the effective advocacy and communication of industry positions and policies
Experience:
Minimum experience from 3 to 5 years in one or more of the following areas: EU institutions, European associations, advocacy, communications, international public affairs, trade policy, intellectual property rights policy
Qualifications:
University degree preferably in law, economics, international relations or political sciences. Master degree would be a plus.
Skills:
· Research and information seeking, particularly to identify key issues in area of responsibility
· Ability to analyse industry, regulatory and organisational issues
· Ability to draft position papers and official letters clearly and concisely
· Strong communication skills
· Influencing skills, including building rapport and advocacy
· Languages: fluent spoken and written English (essential) and French and German (preferable)
· Good computer skills
