The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) is a leading international health professional organisation that provides multi-faceted treatment to survivors of torture and their families. Comprising 139 treatment centres on all continents the IRCT also works for the prevention of torture, documenting torture cases and advocating respect for the absolute prohibition against torture.

The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) is currently recruiting an: International Programmes Manager
As International Programmes Manager, you will have a pivotal role at the General Secretariat in Copenhagen with managerial oversight over IRCT project-based work. In addition, you will also have line management responsibility for an interdisciplinary team of 15 staff, including health professionals.
You will report directly to the IRCT Secretary-General and be a member of the Management Team Your key responsibilities will be to ensure that projects are developed, implemented and reported upon in accordance with agreed commitments. You will interact daily with programme staff. You will be responsible for developing the strategic plan for projects in coherence with the short and long-term objectives of the IRCT.
Person specification:
• Degree and postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
• Minimum 10 years professional experience in programme/project management from a relevant sector, i.e. health/international development/emergency relief/human rights • Notable field experience in working internationally, including within developing countries
• Experience at senior level in management, supervision, and team leadership
• Strong knowledge and experience of project cycle management (LFA)
• Civil society experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English – other languages an asset • Ability to travel regularly The IRCT offers: a competitive salary package and an international working environment.
