International Financial controller for tomorrow’s societal challenges

Within the Ecorys Europe unit you will be dedicated to the subunit Regional Offices and you will be reporting to the MD. You will assist in the build-up of the subunit EEIG – our common Ecorys bidding entity.
As a first step the administrative basics need solidifying as well as linking the subunits to the newly built ERP system. Subsequently you will grow towards business support by advising the regional offices leaders, providing input on projects and more.

Beyond that – Ecorys is a large company allowing you to grow into finance or business - and you have a large say in that.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR YOUR SUCCES - the technical side?

  • Advanced degree in Accounting (either in Belgium or other European GAAPs)
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements, tax reports and other regulatory reporting
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Experience with ensuring internal and external compliance
  • Controlling skills and experience -  preferably in a project based setting
  • Fluency in English and preferably another European language

  • Minimum 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Your current job is financial controller, senior accountant, project controller, junior finance manager or nuclear physicist
  • Of course it helps if you have worked in a professional service firm
