Job Description

Function
To provide support to the communications & PR department in the management of a busy programme of conferences and events, both in the run-up to the events and on-site. To support the department in its day-to-day communications and PR work.

  • Assisting with all aspects of the preparation of conferences and workshops from planning to the events themselves, including:
    • Liaising with suppliers and service providers
    • Inviting and registering participants
    • Preparing marketing and conference material
    • Liaising with speakers
    • General administration and organisation
  • Support to the department in the preparation of CEA publications, both in print and on-line
  • Support to the department in its daily communications and PR activities
  • Other day-to-day duties as assigned under supervision of the head of department.

Profile

  • Native English speaker. Other languages, particularly French, an asset
  • Experience of event organisation preferred
  • Demonstrable drafting and writing skills an advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of InDesign an advantage
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work well under pressure
  • Highly developed team spirit
