Job description and main responsibilities

The analyst will be part of the Intelligence team. 

The tasks will include:  

  • Support with data collection, data management and analysis of:
    • market indicators covering the clean hydrogen value chain – with special focus on mobility sectors, including road, rail, maritime and aviation (e.g. hydrogen delivery and logistics costs, hydrogen refuelling/bunkering infrastructure and fuel cell vehicles deployment figures, total cost of ownership etc.).  
    • policies, regulations and plans within the EU and on an international level which impact the deployment of clean hydrogen technologies with a special focus on the mobility sector.  
  • Development of financial and costing models for the hydrogen mobility sector
  • Preparation of analytical reports and presentations which synthesize the above-mentioned data. 
  • Conduct tailor-made data collection and analysis to respond to ad-hoc requests for support from Hydrogen Europe members or colleagues 
  • Other tasks related to further developing Hydrogen Europe’s Intelligence service


  • Master’s degree in STEM, economics, or MBA
  • Proven expertise in clean technologies and their applications (energy, mobility, industry, buildings…) 2-3 years minimum work experience in consultancy, industry, or academia relevant to the fuel cells and hydrogen sector
  • A strong analytical mind and numerical skills
  • Capacity to collect, organise and analyse quantitative and qualitative data
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools in particular Excel
  • Willingness to learn about the hydrogen sector
  • Capacity to read complex legal texts, and to get a deep understanding of them as well as the capacity to synthesize them for non-experts
  • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple issues with multiple stakeholders from all over Europe and tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills addressing a range of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Proven fluency in English. Knowledge of other European languages an asset
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • IT literate with proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Curiosity, flexibility, reliability, team-player approach with can-do attitude

Nice to have

  • Experience in Hydrogen technologies research and development
  • Knowledge of the EU political and policy landscape
  • An existing network amongst relevant sector companies and organisations
  • Knowledge of clean energy and transport applied to hydrogen
  • Additional languages
