Eurochild is a network of organisations and individuals promoting the rights and welfare of children and young people in Europe. We are looking for a energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team as:
Information and Communication Officer
You will have:
Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of communication and/or information management. Excellent English writing skills as well as high attention to detail. Experience of website management and design. Familiarity of working with the press and media. Knowledge of the EU institutions and the policy-making process in the EU particularly in the social policy field. Knowledge and interest in children’s rights will be an advantage. Relevant University-level qualification. Commitment to the values of Eurochild and willingness to be flexible.
Your duties:
You will filter incoming information on events, policy developments and funding opportunities to inform Eurochild members, as well as Secretariat staff. You will be responsible for the production of all Eurochild’s electronic and print publications. You will further develop Eurochild’s website and be responsible for its update. You will draft press releases and liaise with the media. Together with the Secretary General, you will develop and implement Eurochild’s communication strategy.
What we offer:
Full-time, permanent Belgian employment contract €2,500-€2,800/month gross depending on experience. The opportunity to work with a small, friendly, international team, committed to the realisation of children’s rights in Europe.
