Due to our growing business activity, Equinoccio is currently recruiting qualified professionals to strengthen our international project management team. Specifically we are looking for an experienced Private Sector Development / International Trade specialist to cover a position with two responsibilities: (1) as a Project Manager, he/she will be responsible for all tasks related to the tendering and contract management of projects; and (2) as a consultant, she/he will participate in private sector and trade-related technical assistance missiones in the overseas projects being implemented by the company.

Role and Responsibilities

Bid management:

  • Coordinate de tender process with consortium partners.
  • Coordinate the preparation of technical proposals, and when required, provide written technical inputs
  • Identification and setting-up of teams of experts and negotiate the terms of engagement with them.
  • Preparation of project budgets and financial proposals.

Project Management:

  • Contract Manageent.
  • Supervision of project implementation(technical and finacial)
  • Budget control during contract execution.
  • Review of project technical reports by experts.
  • Backstopping support for experts in the field.
  • Liaison with consortium partners, clients and beneficiaries during contract implementation

Technical assistance missions:

  • Provide advisory and capacity-building services in export promotion and trade development to SMEs and intermediary organisations.

Corporate responsibilities:

  • Contribution to the development of the overall strategy of the company.
  • Contribution to meeting Equinoccio´s quality system, objectives and work procedure.


  • Reporting to nominated Project Supervisor of each project


  • University degree in a appropiate discipline.
  • Proven track record in trade development / trade policy / private sector development related training or advisory services.
  • Proven track recordin the preparation of technical assistance proposals, as well contract management and administration.
  • Minimum of three, ideally five years of working experience in the sector or equivalent experience in economic or international development, or in the provision of professional advisory or consulting services.
  • Ability to work well in a demanding environment, adhering to project ad work deadlines.
  • Delivery essential inputs to colleagues, partners, beneficiaries and clients on time, everytime.
  • Strong computer skills.

Language skills;

  • Native English speaker / Native French speaker.
  • Fluency in English / French / Spanish as working language/s should be an advantge.
