In the context of its Climate & Energy Programme, the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union is looking for an intern from the beginning of September 2017 to mid/ end of December 2017.

You have a keen interest in (gender) democracy, human rights and ecology? You want to join a young and creative work environment? Then this could be your opportunity!

The tasks include, among others:

  • Researching current policy issues of relevance to the ongoing work of the Brussels Office
  • Collecting background information for events, visitor programs, conferences and workshops
  • Monitoring and summarizing current developments in research areas relevant to the office’s work 
  • Editing and proof reading of publications 
  • Attending policy briefings, lectures and conferences –
  • Providing logistical support for the conceptualization, preparation and management of events, conferences and workshops
  • Responding to information inquiries
  • Updating and managing of the office database 
  • Follow up and event documentation

Requirements:

  • Creativity and strong communication and writing skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Affinity for details
  • Have a good command of English and German, French is an asset
  • The internship has to be a mandatory part of the intern’s studies
