EHPA, the association representing the heat pump sector, is looking for a Head of Communications. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with a 360° vision on the association’s communication: he/she can juggle the communication among multiple stakeholders and a variety of services, products and policy content while keeping in mind EHPA’s objectives and goals.

The Role

As a Head of Communications, you will be mainly responsible for:

  • preparing and reviewing EHPA’s communication strategy ;
  • driving all the EHPA communications work ensuring that the association’s strategy is translated into impactful communications initiatives (campaigns, publications etc.) ;
  • cooperating very closely with the Secretary General, the Head of EU Affairs and the Head of EU Projects, to align the association’s brand and strategy in all messages and initiatives, throughout all our communication channels ;
  • building and maintaining a long-standing communication relationship with our policy stakeholders, members, partners, alliances and press ;
  • managing the communication team.

The Head of Communications will be coordinating a variety of tasks such as (non exhaustive list):

  • Strategy planning
  • Operations: coordinate the development of policy campaigns, content, publications, events, etc.
  • Media: write attractive press releases, develop the network of press contacts, define adequate communication channels
  • Marketing of services and products
  • Internal communication to our members

The Profile

  • At least 5 years of solid work experience in Eu-focused, strategic communications
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience in managing a team or strong managerial skills
  • Strong knowledge of the major EU institutions
  • Solid experience in building and maintaining media relations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and translate complex information into clear messages
  • Project management skills
  • Positive attitude, creativity, leadership
  • Working permit in Belgium
