As an independent organisation, RINA also provides verification and validation as well as product/software assurance and reliability services.

RINA Corporate Research and Development Unit is searching for a Project Manager for its office in Brussels. The candidate will manage complex European funded Projects in the H2020 framework, in a multi-disciplinary stimulating environment and in different fields.

The role requires someone who can generate and develop innovation ideas, work to tight deadlines as well as work closely with clients, colleagues and project partners, leveraging on a large network of personal contacts. Furthermore, the candidate should be able to manage proposals quality and evolution in direct touch with clients.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Proposal writing
  • Management of Collaborative Research and Innovation Projects and preparation of technical reporting
  • Daily communication with project partners

Moreover, during proposals’ preparation, the candidate should be able:

  • Assisting with ideas generation workshops to create innovation concepts and solutions and carrying out techno-economic feasibility assessment
  • Authoring complex, detailed and well-structured research and development proposals that meet the eligibility criteria of the funding body and our quality standards
  • Liaising with suitable industrial and academic partners to gather information for submission of research proposals
  • Ensuring proposals are prepared, initially assessed and submitted to the required standard and deadlines
  • Supporting the negotiation phase of successful proposals

The ideal candidate holds a University Degree in a scientific or technical discipline (preferably in engineering). Along with an excellent academic background, they should be experienced and be interested in commercial factors relating to new product development.

Experience with project management and proposal writing in European funded research and innovation programmes are valuable assets for this position, and fluency in English (both spoken and written) is mandatory.  Strong communication and organizational skills would be kept in high consideration. 

This position is full time and based at RINA Consulting office in Brussels. Travels are expected in Europe, and driving licence is required.
