To realize the future ambitions of PNO Consultants Belgium, we are looking for a Grant and Innovation consultant to lead the development of EU projects and proposals.

Do you have experience in drawing up subsidy applications for innovative projects? Would you like to participate in the innovations of tomorrow? Are you triggered by getting acquainted with many different sectors or do you just choose to become a specialist in one specific sector (bio, life sciences, energy, materials, etc.)?

As a Grant and Innovation Consultant, you will be involved in the full range of our PNO business unit services, including Grant Application, Project Participation and Commercial Consulting.

Typical tasks include:

  • Grant Application (GA): writing of EU project proposals (e.g: Horizon Europe, LIFE, EIT, Innovation Funds), including scientific excellence, societal impact and project implementation, budget, deliverables and planning. Conceptualisation, visualisation and iterative challenging of the project ideas;
  • Project Participation (PP): implementation of tasks within EU funded projects, with attention to starting up and realisation of official deliverables. Typical activities include: market analysis, stakeholder analysis, workshops organisation, business plan formulation, exploitation and replication strategies planning;
  • Commercial Consulting (CC): execution of our high-end innovation consulting (management consulting) services, especially for European Institutions, Technology Platforms, Sector Organisations and large corporate clients.

What do we expect from you?

A completed master's degree or PhD in fields related to either Agribusiness & Bioeconomy (including biomass, food and agro) or Energy and Environment (including Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Batteries, Environment, Water)

  • A relevant work experience with various R&D subsidy projects
  • A strong analytical and organizational mind
  • The ambition to become a top advisor
  • Own network or the capacities to quickly build personal relationships with sides
  • Excellent communication and editorial skills (including professional knowledge of English language)
  • Creativity - you think along with the customer about his innovation project and are able to form your own opinion about it
  • A good dose of humor
  • A flexible team player - you like to work in a team and easily, and you like to transfer your knowledge to your colleagues.
