COCERAL is offering a multi-faceted opportunity for a driven
Food & Feed Policy Manager

  • You have built 7-10 years’ experience in regulatory affairs, of which several years in the agri-
          food sector in a corporation, a consultancy or a trade association, and wish to build on that
          experience in a multi-faceted trade association
  • You have a thorough understanding of the EU decision-making process
  • You are knowledgeable about the food and feed safety legislative framework applicable to the
          cereals and oilseeds sector – both for commodities and processed products
  • You have strong communication skills and are comfortable speaking in public
  • You are able to work under time pressure on a wide breadth of issues while keeping your
          spirits up
  • You are customer oriented and enjoy building consensus
  • You have a perfect command of English – spoken and written, with good knowledge of at least
          one additional language
  • And, last but not least, you have high ethical standards and are a genuine team player.

  • The opportunity to shape European policies and legislation in the agri-food sector
  • Interaction with a variety of players and operators within COCERAL, who represents the EU
          trade in cereals, rice, feedstuffs, oilseeds, olive oil, oils and fats, as well as agrosupply, but also
          EUROMALT (European malting industry) and UNISTOCK (portside storage of agriculture
          commodities)
  • Close cooperation with several actors along the food supply chain
  • Interaction with third country Missions to the EU
  • Little room for boredom.

Your main responsibilities would involve :

  • Monitoring food and feed regulatory and policy developments at EU and international level
  • Anticipating changes in the regulatory environment and briefing operators on the potential
          impact of these changes on their business
  • Acting as a spokesperson and advocate for COCERAL, EUROMALT and UNISTOCK
  • Managing internal and external meetings and coordinating activities between several
          associations.
