Job description:

  • Monitoring, analyzing and informing members on European and international accounting, auditing and financial reporting dossiers of relevance for the retail banking sector;
  • Responsible for the ESBG/WSBI Accounting and Audit Committee: preparation of meetings, drafting of agenda and background documents, reporting latest developments at the EU and international level and following–up on decisions taken by the Committee members;
  • Supporting ESBG/WSBI in the area of tax issues, e.g. Directive 2006/112/EC on the common system of value added tax, Savings Taxation Directive and Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base.
  • Translating members’ positions into concrete action at all levels: public position papers, best practices, seminars, action plans, etc
  • Liaising with EU and international authorities (EU Commission, EU Parliament, EFRAG and international bodies such as the IASB) on an ongoing basis to present and promote the views of the ESBG/WSBI;

 Profile:

  • Advanced University Degree, ideally with specialization in accounting / financial reporting; 
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience ideally in the areas of accounting and / or banking;
  • Proven analytical and drafting skills;
  • Ability to work in an international team;
  • Working language English, additional languages are considered an asset;
  • Relevant computer and presentation skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
