To support its financial and administrative department shecco is looking to recruit a Financial & Administrative Assistant with a strong academic background to support our Head of Finance in all requirements related to finances and administrative daily activities

Estimated start date: June 2019

The Position

shecco is looking for a motivated, skilled and proactive Financial & Administrative Assistant to assist shecco’s Head of Finance in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions as well as administrative related activities on a weekly and monthly basis.

More specifically, he / she will:

Offer administrative and financial support to the CEO and Head of Finance:

  • Managing external correspondence via email and phone, arranging meetings and travel as necessary
  • Assisting in the organization and preparation of materials for events/conferences as necessary; assisting in ad-hoc projects
  • Process employee expense reports
  • Process supplier’s invoices and bank statement reconciliation;
  • Provide support in the preparation of the audits; provide administrative support (scanning, filing).
  • Assist with month-end financial processes, including monthly VAT filling
  • Provide support in the preparation of the client invoices;
  • Provide support in the preparation of the budget for the projects, including all EU Projects
  • Assist with Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables (analysis, follow-up);
  • Selected HR tasks, such as holiday management

Profile 

  • Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound understanding of business environments;
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Accurate, efficient discrete able to multitask and work independently
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Quick learner, well-organised, detail-minded and able to deliver on time;
  • Proactive with a ‘can-do attitude’, high sense of responsibility;
  • A person with strong ethical standards, ready to work in an international and multicultural environment;

Key Requirements & Competencies

  • Bachelor in finance or equivalent post graduate course
  • Experience in carrying out analytical / research and project management activities;
  • Knowledge of project management tools;
  • Excellent command of English and French, both oral and written; knowledge of Dutch is a strong asset
  • Demonstrating/safeguarding ethics and integrity
  • Proficiency in using MS Office, presentation and data processing tools;
  • Valid working permit for Belgium;

Conditions

  • Paid Internship (Convention d’immersion Professionelle) for a 6-month period. Thereafter, this internship is intended to lead to permanent employment, based on performance.

This position entails diverse job assignments, with broad learning opportunities (i.e. on the job coaching, formal training, attendance to events, etc.) and exposure to a global working environment in fast-paced and dynamic environment.
