The Key Qualifications expected for this position include:

  • Proven track record in managing multi-country projects or programmes
  • Prior experience in a professional services firm and/or a track record of delivering beyond the expectations of internal clients
  • A demonstrable understanding of the interaction between traditional public affairs/government relations and the use of broader communications tactics (digital communications, media relations, events, third party mobilisation)
  • Experience working with the energy sector and the issues that affect it, such as energy efficiency, renewables and climate change
  • Good knowledge of European policymaking processes and politics
  • Fluency in English with the ability to work in at least one other European Union language

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Managing client relationships for large pan-European public affairs and communications accounts
  • Assisting in the definition of pan-European integrated public affairs and communications programmes
  • Overseeing the implementation of integrated public affairs and communications programmes
  • Ensuring the delivery of consistently high standards of service through the coordination of account teams across Fleishman-Hillard’s European network
  • Contributing to the growth of Fleishman-Hillard Brussels’ thriving energy practice

The Fleishman-Hillard Brussels Energy Team is led by Dan Baxter (Senior Vice President), who oversees the work of Fleishman-Hillard in the Energy, Environment and Transport sectors. He is supported by seventeen full-time consultants. Although the various positions in the team impose a certain hierarchy, Fleishman-Hillard prefers to operate a relatively flat structure and above all is a meritocracy. Our philosophy hinges very much on supportive team working and it is important that new additions to the team are a good “fit” in this respect.

Fleishman-Hillard is one of the world's leading public affairs and communications groups, with over 80 offices located throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and South Africa. At Fleishman-Hillard, we value our people as much as we value our clients. At the very heart of the award-winning work we do for clients is our culture of success and the team members who engender passion, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and mutual respect.

In delivering consistent quality and creative work, our goal is "To make ourselves as valuable to our clients as they are to us.®"
