The Global Wind Energy Council is undergoing rapid expansion, as wind energy – the world’s most exciting industry - continues to grow in new markets around the world.

The Global Wind Energy Council is the international trade association for the wind power industry. Our mission is to ensure that wind power establishes itself as the answer to today’s energy challenges, providing substantial environmental and economic benefits.

We are now looking for a self-starting Events and Marketing Intern to support GWEC’s activities globally and contribute to the wind revolution.

Internship task description:

  • Supporting the team with event preparation tasks (e.g. logistics, registrations, travel preparation, speaker management, invitations)
  • Organising international delegations to attend GWEC supported events
  • Assisting with the marketing strategy for events
  • Helping update and maintain the events on the GWEC website
  • Assisting the team with various administrative duties
  • Keep contact database updated and research new methods to improve it

Your profile


  • Exceptional English language skills.
  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in relevant studies (Communications, Event Management, Marketing)
  • Hard working, strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • Flexible and problem-solving attitude
  • Willing to learn and assist a small international team
  • Working knowledge of digital tools such as Office suite, WordPress, MailChimp
  • Must NOT have already completed an ‘immersion professionelle’ or have already undertaken full time professional employment


  • Chinese and/or Spanish language skills
  • Knowledge in graphic design tools
  • Experience supporting/organising international events
  • An interest in the global wind and renewable energy industry

Terms and Conditions

  • The internship will be available early April
  • Duration: Full-Time, 6 months with opportunity to extend
  • The internship is renumerated under the conditions of the `Convention d`immersion professionelle` (subject to approval by Bruxelles Formation)
