Following recent successes with exciting international clients, we are now recruiting an Event Manager to join our dynamic event team at GOPA Com. in Brussels.

You should be highly motivated and able to work in a challenging environment, to think creatively, work proactively and to cover all areas of events from concept to completion. 

This broad and varied role will include:

  • Managing client expectations from concept to completion
  • End to end project management of events
  • Being responsible for the financial management of projects
  • Assisting with client development & maximisation
  • Assisting in new pitches and proposals
  • Attending client meetings to take initial briefs
  • Supplier management
  • Creating project plans and critical timelines for events
  • Overseeing production and technical supplier management
  • On-site management of events

Qualifications / skills

  • 3-5  years’ experience in conference organisation
  • Fluent in English and French (mother tongue level).  Any other language is an asset.
  • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Word for Windows, Excel, Outlook as well as registration software

Additional skills

  • Ability to independently manage projects on very tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills at all levels with the desire to succeed as part of a flexible, yet dedicated fast-moving team
  • Proactive and creative
  • Flexible, ready for possible extended hours on show site
  • Willing to travel
  • Ability to start on short notice
