The European Public Affairs Manager  will:

  • contribute to the development of the Group regulatory positions
  • follow the relevant developments in the EU institutions, monitoring their progress, forwarding insights allowing the Group to define its positions
  • participate to the writing and the promotion of Aboca positions with the EU Institutions
  • participate to the working groups of the European associations of which Aboca is member
  • engages - or supports - with categories of institutional stakeholders in order to promote those positions
  • DGs of the European Commission, MEPs and staff, Perm Reps of certain nationalities
  • relevant business and stakeholders associations
  • provides the Group and certain business entities with specific analysis and support (regulatory analysis, technical meetings)
  • monitoring of day-to-day implementation of the regulation (national market analyses, implementation of EU law)


  • Languages skills: English (working language), Italian (good knowledge and speaking abilities)
  • 3 years work experience in EU regulation or policy or government affairs on foods, medical devices and/or medicinal products
  • University degree (Law, Political Science, Economics, Pharmacy)
  • Excellent knowledge of the EU Institutions and their functioning and good network of contacts in the Brussels arena
  • Very good writing, communicative and presentational skills
  • Self-starter and strong team player, quality and result oriented and willing to work in an international environment
  • Existence of network and connections in the private sector is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including well developed stakeholder management skills
