Cargill Legal department is currently looking for a:

European Patent Attorney Trainee, Jobcode: MEC00296

Responsibilities: As a trainee your responsibilities will include
• Analyze invention disclosures and draft patent application
• Handle prosecution of patent applications in different territories
• Prepare argumentation for the filing of oppositions and appeals against patents from third parties. You will over time develop expertise in the field of IP and Patents through active participation in daily work of the department and through participation in external training programs.

Qualifications With a university degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry or biochemistry and at least 8-10 years experience, ideally coupled with studies in IP/Patent law, you must be fluent in English and French or German.

You have great oral and written communication and presentation skills to transmit IP related information to scientific and non-scientific communities and is computer literate, you are a team player, creative, supportive, collaborative, committed and flexible and ready to take on the 3 years of studies for the European Qualifying Exam while working under the supervision of a qualified European Patent Attorney.
