AliénorEU is a European policies' consulting agency. Our goal is to give to our clients the tools that will allow them to influence the decisions that may impact their activities.

We are looking for a new consultant for a one year contract with possibility of renewal.

Our consultants collaborate on different clients and subjects. The consultant chosen will work mainly on the fisheries policy as well as on EU projects and communication.


  • Drafting lobbying / communication strategies and implementing them.
  • Monitoring policy and legislative developments impacting our clients (legislative monitoring, press review, social networks, etc.).
  • Organizing events and bilateral meetings with European decision-makers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Representing clients at events organized in Brussels and writing reports.
  • Creating and animating communication tools (social networks, newsletter, etc.) for AliénorEU and its clients.
  • Writing position papers and internal notes on current institutional topics.
  • Prospecting and representing AliénorEU in the framework of the Horizon 2020 program.

Qualifications and experience

  • Graduate in Political Science, Law, European Affairs or any other relevant field. Can be compensated by a relevant experience.

Knowledge and skills needed

  • Excellent knowledge of the functioning, policies and legislative process of European institutions.
  • Knowledge of the Common Fisheries Policy and / or Horizon 2020 is an asset.
  • Attention to detail, be thorough and meticulous.
  • Be highly motivated, well organized, proactive and able to work within short deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.
  • Researching, collecting, analysing and summarizing information.
  • Able to work in a team and to manage projects independently.
  • Be sociable and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Office package, social networks, etc.).

Salary and benefits:

  • 1900 € gross (+ 13th month)
  • Meal ticket of 8€ per day worked
  • Mobile phone + monthly subscription
  • Monthly public transport pass –STIB - (49 euros)
