Job Description

Mission: Monitoring relevant EU policy and representing the interests of the EBU and its Members vis-à-vis the European institutions and other international institutions
Influence: Contribute to development of lobbying strategy vis-à-vis the European institutions.

Accountability:
Job content & diversity:

  • Ensure permanent and effective monitoring of the activities of European and other international institutions and related developments
  • Provide the EBU Permanent Services and Members with adequate and timely information on such activities
  • Contribute to the drafting of positions by the EBU on such activities.
  • Actively consult and co-operate with the Members in Brussels
  • Promote adopted EBU positions vis-à-vis the organizations
  • Implement action designed to advance the EBU’s and Members’ profile and common interests at the European level

Independence of action: As a member of a small team he/she will have a fair degree of independence in carrying out the required tasks.

Education: University level
Knowledge :

  • Excellent spoken and written knowledge of the two official languages of the EBU (French and English). Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the audiovisual and media sector and relevant policy
  • Excellent knowledge of the European decision-making mechanisms
  • Knowledge of MS Office software applications.

Experience 5 years relevant professional experience.
