Strauss&Partners is looking for an EU Public Affairs Trainee. Strauss & Partners (S&P) is a Brussels-based European consultancy, operating in the environment of the EU institutions. S&P’s services cover EU Public Policy, association management and event management. S&P is a service provider for Knowledge4Innovation, a open, independent, non-profit platform with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Since 2009 K4I has organised more than 300 debates most of which during its annual flagship event, the "European Innovation Summit".

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the 9th European Innovation Summit;
  • Reach out to EU business stakeholders (start ups, accelerators, incubator, etc);
  • Development of workshops and pitching sessions;
  • Contributing to the Activities of the EU Innovation Trends and the EU Funding Profile
  • Performing various administrative tasks.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • A student or a recent graduate in European studies or a related field
  • Good knowledge of the European political environment, EU institutions and decision-making processes
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Fluent English
  • Very good command of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

We offer:

  • 3-month full time internship (June to August)
  • An opportunity to gain valuable experience in European policy-making, event organization and funding.
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses and a daily allowance.
