ESICM: Traineeship
ESICM - European Society of Intensive Care Medicine - 09 June 2009
Job Description
Who we are
The European Society of Intensive care medicine (ESICM) is devoted to the promotion of intensive care medicine, patient safety, education, research, and professional development.
ESICM is the European voice of medical intensivists (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other allied healthcare professionals in intensive care units). Within that scope it ensures that the intensivists’ views are effectively communicated to key stakeholders, authorities and institutions within Europe at regional, national, international and European level. It works in close co-operation with patients’ organizations and medical industry.
For further details on our activities, visit our website at ESICM www.esicm.org
What we have to offer
ESICM has produced PACT (Patient-centred Acute Care Training), a modular multidisciplinary distance-learning programme, aimed at improving and harmonising the quality of acute care medicine. The Programme contains 44 modules covering the ICU (Intensive Care unit) curriculum.
PACT 1st edition was produced in electronic and paper versions. The 2nd Edition of PACT is exclusively available on a new e-learning platform, more user-friendly, allowing more interactivities and functionalities.
ESICM is offering an interesting traineeship at its Brussels offices to a motivated candidate. The trainee will be coordinating the e-implementation of the PACT 44 modules. Besides PACT matters, tasks will include ESICM communication and administration, etc.
What we expect
. The traineeship should be part of school/university curricula - and therefore not remunerated - preferably, but not exclusively, with a background in health matters. The traineeship can take place under the Leonardo da Vinci EU programme.
. The traineeship should start as soon as possible, for a period to be agreed on by both parties.
. The trainee should be fluent in English.
Applicants should send their application (CV and motivation letter)
by e-mail to Dominique.Dhoir@esicm.org
