Job Description

We currently seek a Bussiness Analyst to join our team:
48% of the current global population is fed thanks to the use of mineral fertilizers. EFMA represents the interests of the fertilizer industry vis-à-vis the European institutions and other international organisations. We deal with questions related to agriculture, environment, technology, safety and trade, as well as supporting our members with statistics and other information. Our offices are located in Brussels and we have a multi-cultural team of 12 staff members.
 
Responsibilities:
• Analyse trade and financial information and data to write reports on fertilizer markets and agricultural issues
• Develop market expertise in fertilizer issues
• Assist in engagement with member companies, European institutions, and various organisations and government/regulatory authorities
• Participate and conduct research to facilitate policy formulation
• Update market and intelligence reports and data
• Answer internal/external queries
• Collaborate with other analysts on research and articles
• Participate in various working committees and/or projects
 
Requirements:
• Strong analytical ability and understanding of statistical issues and data management
• High level of numerical dexterity
• The ability to handle vast amounts of statistical information
• University degree in Business, Statistics, Economics
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Fluency in other European languages an advantage
• Work independently and take initiatives but also a team player, able to cooperate with team members
• Organised and structured mind to deal with large quantities of work and strict deadlines
• Preferably 1 to 3 years of experience in European business environment
• Advanced computer skills, especially database management Excel and Access
