Working for CIBE (International Confederation of European Beet Growers) an international association well established in the agri-food sector and based in Brussels, under the supervision and coordination of the Director, the Economic and Policy Advisor will:

  • conduct analysis of some agri product markets & related EU trade policies,
  • monitor EU policy developments in bioeconomy and renewable energy,
  • develop and support advocacy positions with the Director and the Members of the Association,
  • represent the interest of the Association before international and EU Institutions
  • liaise with Members

Areas of expertise: agricultural markets and CAP, trade policies, legal and regulatory affairs, renewable energy policy, management of database

Minimum profile required: excellent university degree preferably in (agricultural) Economics or European Law, 3-5 years experience in Brussels in a similar position, excellent capabilities to analyse and summarize regulatory and economic issues, rigour in data processing, fluent written/spoken English, excellent in at least two other European languages, team oriented, independant, flexible and very well-organized, good relational skills, computer skills, residency in Belgium
