Corporate Affairs Manager

What is your challenge as a Corporate Affairs Manager?

The position of the CA manager will mainly consist of assisting, supporting and representing the CA&C Director in areas of regulation (TPDII), tobacco taxation, Anti Illicit Trade/Compliance and media engagement. The most important focus is on managing fiscal laws, tobacco and emerging products/reduced risk products regulations and European tobacco laws. Next to this, the CA manager will take care of politcal and media monitoring.  You will be in charge of internal contacts and team briefings and communication towards internal stakeholders in the Brussels office and externally towards trade media and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you will organize and attend internal and external CA events.  In addition, you will monitor JTI projects with regards to Community Investment, Cultural Projects and Corporate Responsability and will provide follow-up on Regional and/or HQ functions requests in those fields. This role has strategic importance because of its large impact on business results which can be significantly affected by the fiscal and regulatory measures imposed upon the tobacco industry.

Do you have what it takes to be Corporate Affairs Manager?

Analytical, autonomous and a great networker. As a Corporate Affairs Manager these are your keywords! If this already sounds familiar, great! But we think you need this in order to make this position a success:  

  • You have a university degree in a relevant field as law, economics, politics or business administration
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a ministerial or parliamentary office, a consulting firm (public affairs, advocacy, lobbying) or business in sectors such as food, oil, spirits and pharmaceuticals.
  • You have a deep understanding of the political arena and public decision making process.
  • You have great communication skills, oral and written in French and English. Dutch would be a plus.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and good command of social media networks.
