Organisational profile

FEDMA is a Brussels-based trade association, dedicated to promoting, protecting and informing the data-driven marketing industry at the pan-European level. Its members are national Direct Marketing Associations (DMAs) and nearly 40 multinational companies from different countries engaged in direct and interactive marketing activities.

Internship profile

FEDMA offers an internship (6 months, to start begining of September 2018) to a current graduate student, ideally with or studying for a degree in Communication and/or Journalism.

University internship agreement is mandatory. Therefore, applicants must be students registered in a University program for the whole duration of the internship.

The internship at FEDMA will allow you to experience the fascinating world of a Federation in the European Union, to juggle every day communication and tasks, to contribute to sustainable management, to grasp the business challenges so as to communicate effectively and positively FEDMA to internal and external stakeholders.

FEDMA covers fascinating topics such as data protection, privacy and the digital single market.

The intern will support the work of our small, young and dynamic team.

This includes but is not restricted to:

Communication management:

  • Daily online monitoring and compiling press articles in a bi-weekly newsletter to our members
  • Work on FEDMA communication tools, including, presentation, flyers, and other tool as necessary.
  • Updating FEDMA website content and newsfeed.
  • Managing FEDMA communication channels.
  • Membership and communication data analysis

Communication and support to events:

  • Support with the organisation of the FEDMA annual event in European Parliament.
  • Support with organisation of meetings with DMA members of FEDMA (DMA Day).
  • Support with organisation of events for PEEAC educational project.
  • Support with organisation of any other FEDMA meeting.

Support for project management:

  • Support the team for the creation and development of a new online publication, including creation of IT structure, business model and updated content

Overall office support to the Public Affairs team:

  • Support the Public Affairs team in their work by participating in meetings, taking notes, doing research and writing short articles for members.

The FEDMA team will work with the intern to adapt responsibilities according to his/her interests and abilities. FEDMA team commits itself to ensuring that the successful candidate has a great time while working for FEDMA, with plenty of learning opportunities and exposure to “the real deal”.

FEDMA will cover partially some expenses. A university agreement is necessary.

Intern profile

We are looking for someone who meets the following profile:

  • Excellent communication skills; if possible, please show examples of previous written work;
  • Knowledge and capacity to manage the organisation’s social media platforms;
  • Strong IT skills required;
  • Excellent written and oral English;
  • French is an asset;
  • Excellent ability to work independently. Intern should be able to take lead on his/her project and is expected to have creative, problem-solving mind;
  • Excellent organisational skills. Our association requires multi-tasking;
  • Confirmed interest in issues relating to the data-driven marketing industry;
  • Knowledge of the data-driven marketing industry would be an asset;
  • Friendly and proactive personality.
