UITP (International Association of Public Transport) is a passionate champion of sustainable urban mobility and is the only worldwide network to bring together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. We have 1,500 member companies giving access to over 18,000 contacts from 96 countries. Our members are public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, research institutes and the public transport supply and service industry.

We are currently looking for a:

COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
(to cover maternity leave)

Primary responsibilities will be to support the Communications Team and include:

BRAND GUARDIAN OF THE CORPORATE IDENTITY (40%)

  • Responsible for the correct implementation of the corporate visual charter in all UITP publications, tools and visuals
  • Upgrade the corporate guidelines and corporate templates when necessary
  • Coordinate regular renewal of office stationery (templates, etc.)
  • Coordinate the visibility of UITP during events (posters, banners, stands, etc.)
  • Coordinate visibility exchanges with non-UITP activities

CORPORATE TOOLS AND ACTIVITIES (40%)

  • Coordinate the production of corporate brochures and material in collaboration with the Graphic Designer, the team and external suppliers
  • Coordinate the production of corporate videos, infographics, maps, etc.
  • Coordinate the translation of corporate material
  • Manage the stock situation and visibility of communications brochures and material

MEMBERSHIP AND CAMPAIGN COMMUNICATIONS (10%)

  • Develop official materials such as mailings, publications; tools, leaflets, goodies, etc.
  • Support the marketing & communication team in the implementation of the MARCOM campaign of the Global Public Transport Summit
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the follow-up of the action plan
  • Liaise with members and partners

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION (10%):

  • Support the Communication Manager with the budget coordination
  • Liaison with external suppliers such as translators, designers and printers
  • Take active part in team meetings

Profile:

  • Degree in communications and marketing or related fields
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a communication and/or marketing department
  • (Near) Native English
  • Proven writing and communications skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, ability to analyse and summarise concepts
  • Team player
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite (PPT, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and emailing marketing campaigns are an asset
