Who we are

The Orgalime secretariat comprises approximately 30 people - 14 nationalities -, representing the interests of 42 associations from 23 European countries in the technology sectors. We advocate for a progressive, forward-looking EU industrial policy that answers the challenges faced by European society in terms of sustainable growth, jobs and competitiveness.

The communications team

The communications team drives Orgalime’s communications strategy, contributes to Orgalime’s overall strategy and direction, and boosts the engagement with EU institutions, Member organisations, and many other stakeholders. 

Job brief

This role requires both to be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail, and preferably some experience in social media and events.

Ultimately, your goal will be to help ensure clear communication of Orgalime’s message across all channels.

Communications Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Helping implement communications projects and strategies
  • Assisting with events organisation
  • Supporting the production of materials and communications content
  • Collecting data and maintaining databases

Your tasks

  • Help implement communications strategies
  • Facilitate effective internal communications
  • Assist in the production of communications content (e.g. press releases, publications, social media posts)
  • Assist in the preparation and deployment of events
  • Track projects, web/social media analytics and media exposure
  • Provide administrative support to programs and internal teams
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning; mailing etc.
  • Liaise with suppliers for production of different communications materials
  • Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies
  • Update databases and media lists
  • Maintain calendars and appointments
  • Prepare presentations and reports
  • Maintain templates and visual libraries

Your skills

  • Proficient in English; good knowledge of other European languages is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced working in a public facing role (e.g. customer service)
  • Teamwork / team player
  • Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign) and content management systems is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
