Position title: Communications and Sustainability Assistant

Reports to: Communications and Public Affairs Manager and Sustainability Manager

Eurometaux is looking for a dynamic assistant with strong written skills to support its Communication and Sustainability departments. The position is a full-time contract based in Brussels.

Profile

  • Interest in digital communications and creative design
  • Some experience of editing and proof-reading written English
  • Interest in resource efficiency and other relevant environment policy areas not excluding technical topics
  • Comfortable with secretariat duties
  • Eager to learn new skills and to take on some responsibilities

Tasks

  • Drafting and proof-reading Eurometaux documents
  • Day-to-day operation of some social media
  • Support to maintenance of Eurometaux website
  • Support to some advocacy activities
  • EU policy and media monitoring
  • Event organisation
  • General administration
  • Organisation of travel, meetings and appointments

Skills

Technical: Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Functional:

  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a creative mindset
  • High attention to detail and personal organisation
  • Ability to multi-task effectively on Sustainability and Communication files, including coordination of a large number of representatives working in the various Groups
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Strong team player

Working languages: Fluent in both written and spoken English (ideally a native speaker). Fluent French also desireable (written and spoken). Any other language is a plus.

First professional experience required: ideally in an EU-facing organisation
