European Visual Artists (EVA) represents the interests of authors’ collective management societies for the visual arts. 28 European societies are gathered under this roof as members or observers. They manage collectively authors’ rights of close to 130 000 creators of works of fine art, illustration, photography, design, architecture and other visual works. FULL TIME COMMUNICATION OFFICER to join our secretariat in Brussels as soon as possible. The person will be in charge of internal and external communication through newsletters, website maintenance and social media animation. The main focus of the secretariat are the European institutions and policies related to copyright for visual authors and the cultural and creative sector.


  • Carry out communication activities: draft internal newsletters, manage and update our websites and ensure our presence on social media
  • Monitor EU institutions activities and policies related to intellectual property (copyright), collective management, visual arts, creative and cultural sectors
  • Conduct desk research on topics of importance to the association
  • Support the preparation of working groups, Board and General Assembly meetings
  • Attend events and help with other administrative tasks as required

Your profile


  • Qualified (Master) in communications, European affairs or law, or comparable studies
  • Good understanding of EU institutions
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • fluent in English language (professional level)
  • able to carry out tasks independently and keen to coordinate with teammates


You have experience in working in a small team and are fluent not only in English but also in French or other EU languages

What we offer

A one-year contract under Belgian law (CDD) with possibility of extension and adapted salary package.

A JUNIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT for a replacement contract (maternity leave cover) from March to July 2022, to help the team in the day-to-day management of the organisation in Brussels. Full-time or part-time.


  • Office and payment/accounts management and assistance in organization of events.
  • Help with other administrative tasks as required.

Your Profile


  • Studies and some experience in administration or management.
  • Proficient knowledge in English and French (professional level).
  • Working experience with MS Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • You can multitask and carry out your tasks with order and precision.
