Communication Intern

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and dissemination of external and internal communications: newsletters, emails, blogs;
  • Promoting the work of EVPA and its partners through all available communication channels;
  • Prepare, manage and update website, databases and mailing lists;
  • Media research and monitoring;
  • Assist in managing EVPA social media channels;
  • Other administrative or reporting duties;
  • Editing and distributing communication material;
  • Managing  EVPA’s mobile application for the Annual Conference;
  • Assist with other (communication) activities;
  • Working across departments to promote EVPA initiatives.

Skills and Qualities

  • Forward planning and prioritisation skills;
  • University degree in communications or related field;
  • Proactive attitude with attention to detail;
  • Experience of CMS and CRM tools;
  • Creativity and ability to create appealing visual communications products (e.g. charts, graphs, templates);
  • Strong native-level English language writing, editing and speaking skills required;
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of Venture Philanthropy and Social Investment and/or desire and willingness to learn more about it and related topics;
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or similar software is desirable;
  • Proven ability on work independently and on own initiative.

Terms and Conditions

  • Based in Brussels;
  • Start date: ASAP;
  • A full-time 6 months (minimum) internship (monthly payment with lunch allowance);
  • Currently enrolled or having completed a graduate or master’s program;
  • You will support communications and operations activities of the organisation;
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment.
